Well for the students that have requested it I will try to make it clear with examples when to use each of these words.
Firstly I need to say that many, much and a lot are used help us express a quantity of a verb.
For me to explain this clearly, we need to understand countable and uncountable nouns. Don't leave!!! It is easy :-)
Countable nouns have two forms: singular and plural.
Examples
A house is more expensive than a flat.
Houses are more expensive than flats.
Uncountable nouns have only one form and go with a verb in the singular.
Examples
The information you need is in the report.
Last night's news was very bad.
Much or many?
Much is used with uncountable nouns.
Examples
I haven't got much time.
How much sugar would you like in your coffee?
Many is used with countable nouns.
Examples
How many people came to the meeting?
There aren't many mistakes in your test.
Now I will talk about "a lot".
Be careful! Much and many are more usual in questions and negative speech than in positive sentences. "A lot" is more common in positive sentences with both countable and uncountable nouns:
Examples
They have launched a lot of new products in the last few years.
He gave me a lot of advice when I joined the company.
I hope that is clear and will make it easier to understand. Now you must practice!
If you don't do it already, use Skype or MSN to talk and chat to your friends...
Have fun!

Another or other???
Today I had an interesting question in class asking the difference between the words,"other" and "another", and when to use them!
Other means different and is used when we are talking about more than one of something.
E.g. In other countries I felt safe. Other people only work 8 hours a day.
Another means 'one more' and is used when we talk about 1 of something.
E.g. Another country I will visit is Spain. Another person I love is my mother.
I Know this will be useful to some of you.
Remember if you need something explained write a comment here and i will help!
Please, don't worry if your spelling isn't perfect... I'm a teacher ;-) I will correct your spelling as well!
Okay have a good weekend....
