How hard should you practice speaking English?

Dear friends and students, I apologize for being very busy with family matters for the last two weeks! I will catch up on your questions quickly and easily.

Today I want to talk about the importance of practice.

My father believes that just practicing isn't enough to make someone improve.

When I was younger I argued with him about this and he explained it to me like this;
If you practice something for ten hours everyday, that is good, it shows you have motivation. If you are making mistakes when you practice, those ten hours everyday make you better at making those mistakes.

"It is better to practice for one or two hours a day with all of your focus and get help to fix your mistakes, than to practice for ten hours making the same mistakes, again and again." - Trevor Fleet (successful businessman and Tennis coach)

Many people who read this blog are my students from English town, my facebook and orkut accounts and recently many more people are coming here from another school that is similar to English town that has just started.
It is called
EnglishTheme. They are offering everyone FREE online conversation classes while they are building their website and adding information for students. One of their teachers emailed me after reading this blog and asked me to watch some of their online conversation classes. I was very impressed with how professional they are.

My point is it doesn't matter if you spend lots of money on expensive courses at English town or you want to have free classes at
EnglishTheme, the result is the same. To have a teacher correct your mistakes uses your time correctly.
My father also told me,"Work smarter, not harder!"

Now, I want you to comment!
Do you agree with my father?
